Baptism Poem by Bryan Pittsinger

Baptized

My life

Like an old decaying building

Peeling paint, Boarded up windows

Dirty secrets hiding within

No one wanting to claim ownership

No one wanting to invest

No one wanting to take time to fix it up.

Many years of destruction and abandonment

One investor came forward

He claimed ownership

He took the time to fix it up.

No more peeling paint

No more boarded up windows

The inside, clean and fresh

No more decay

No more darkness within

The Lord Jesus Christ made that investment

He brought and paid for me with His blood

When I was baptized in that water,

I was washed clean,

My sins, not only forgiven, but forgotten

No more Hiding, No more Secrets

I AM FREE, I AM ALIVE!

THANK YOU JESUS!
